Try a Slice of Hendersonville at the Apple Festival
For Western North Carolina residents, the quintessential sign that autumn is on its way comes with the annual NC Apple Festival. This year's festivities, which will mark the 63rd consecutive celebration, will continue a long-established tradition of recognizing the history and continued importance of the apple industry in the region. Henderson County, which boasts more than 200 apple growers, ranks seventh in production nationwide, and visitors and locals couldn't be happier.
The festival, scheduled to take place over Labor Day weekend, is ideal for learning about and sampling new varieties of the fruit and for enjoying a fun-filled weekend of everything Appalachian. From the entertainment line up to the exhibits about the heritage of the region, festival-goers are in store for a unique experience that only an event in the Blue Ridge Mountains can offer. Enjoy the sounds of the Hunt Family Fiddlers; watch lively square dances; and take in some local talent when the Hendersonville Community Band performs. Children will especially like the magic and comedy routines, too.
Fox Run Preserve, Hendersonville's premier gated community that is just minutes from downtown, offers residents an unprecedented opportunity to attend entertaining festivals year round without having to sacrifice the peace and quiet of mountain living. While the Apple Festical celebrates some of the best qualities of Western North Carolina, Fox Run Preserve brings those details to your front door with breath-taking scenery, land preservation, an array of outdoor amenities, and more. So, if you love the lifestyle that the NC Apple Festival celebrates, chances are you'll love the Hendersonville real estate at Fox Run, too.
