See the Waterfalls of WNC During Tour de Falls

Every year, DuPont State Forest bursts with the colors of spring and fall, and visitors from across North Carolina and even from across the country come to the Asheville area to observe the changing seasons. And twice a year, DuPont State Forest makes those visits particularly easy during their Tour de Falls event--a shuttle tour of Western North Carolina's most beautiful sites.

On October 17th and 18th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., shuttles will run a 12 mile route to take visitors to Triple Falls, High Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Lake Julia. While you are welcome to take your time and hike, picnic, or just sit a while, the shuttle is a perfect opportunity for families, and those who are not able to hike, to enjoy the falls together. And while the changing leaves of autumn have replaced the lady slippers and begonias of spring, the area will be just as beautiful over the upcoming weeks.

And while there aren't any major waterfalls at Fox Run Preserve, a Hendersonville gated community, opportunity for outdoor sightseeing and adventure abounds. Not only are destinations like DuPont State Forest just minutes away, but community amenities such as trails, fire pits, and a charming fishing pond are just outside of your door.
