There's nothing quite like music to put you in the holiday spirit, and fortunately for Western North Carolina residents, music is an integral part of the regional arts scene. Over the next few weeks as the shopping rush continues and we go through our days in a whirlwind of tinsel and greenery, be sure to take a few minutes or even an entire afternoon to slow down and simply enjoy the season.

The Carl Sandburg Home is even participating in the festivities with Christmas at Connemara, and the Blue Ridge Performing Arts Center is hosting "A Carolina Mountain Christmas" on December 12, where guests can enjoy listening to traditional holiday songs and stories.
