Celebrate Earth Day Every Day at Fox Run

April has brought not only beautiful spring weather to the Asheville area but also plenty of opportunities to attend festivals and celebrate being able to spend more time outdoors. The Environmental and Conservation Organization's Earth Day Festival promises to be one of the many great events taking place this season, and with a location in beautiful Western North Carolina, there's never been a better reason to learn more about protecting our landscape for future generations.

The festival will take place on April 24th at Blue Ridge Community College. Featuring a greenway walk, water carnival, children's green Olympics, gardening workshops, lectures about sustainability, and a variety of live entertainment ranging from storytelling and skits to singing groups and musicians, the festival is set to be a highlight on Hendersonville's event calendar. The Asheville area already has a reputation for being green, but there is always more we can do to decrease the impact that we have on the environment. But as most of us know, it can be difficult to know where to begin.

The Earth Day Festival is a wonderful starting point, and if you are in the market for Hendersonville real estate, gated community Fox Run Preserve is a great place to start, too. At Fox Run Preserve, every day is Earth Day. The community has many sustainable design features and Biltmore Farms' commitment to building only HealthyBuilt-certified Homes increases the quality of life for property owners as well as for the surrounding area. Nature trails run unobtrusively throughout gracious common spaces, and having a limited number of homesites ensures that residents will be able to enjoy the best that nature has to offer rather than having to struggle with the loud noises of urban life. Of course, modern amenities, including area events and activities, are still accessible just beyond the community gates, making for an ideal and peaceful location.
