Bearfootin’ in Historic Downtown Hendersonville

After their hibernation the bears are back in historic downtown Hendersonville, NC. This is the ninth year of the public art exhibit in Western North Carolina of Bearfootin’ in Historic Downtown Hendersonville. The bears featured are colorfully decorated and reside along the sidewalks of downtown; this outdoor exhibit will continue through October 22, 2011. On this day the bears will be auctioned off with a percentage of proceeds going to Henderson County Charities. Over the past eight years, Bearfootin’ in Hendersonville has successfully raised over $150,000 for local Henderson County charities.
